Healthy Hair Hopes
It's safe to say that I have always fit the Polish girl stereotype of blonde hair and blue-eyes. I've had angel-like, bleached white hair since the day I was born. With age, my hair started getting darker, and once I started treating it, it became more and more fragile. During quarantine, we have more time to take care of our personal needs without the pressure of looking one hundred percent.
I did my research, and it turns out that healthy hair all about your scalp condition and vitamin intake.
As you’ll see blow, I included some highly recommended hair products that I had just purchased in hopes of improving the health of my scalp and hair. So far, I have been really enjoying them, though it will take up to 4 months to see real results.
Before you dive in, please know that you should always start with your hair type. Not washing your hair enough can cause hard-core dandruff, irritation, clogged pores, and even hair loss, whereas washing too frequently can lead to stripped, straw-like hair, an increase in oil production, and scalp inflammation.
My hair diagnosis: Wiry hair with damage from coloring it. Regularly feels dry and is hard to comb through.

Now let's start with washing your hair. Here is how you should do it:
Try to wash your hair in the morning for the essential sebum membranes to recover.
Do not apply shampoo directly to your scalp after wetting it. A direct application may cause inflammation and dandruff.
Wet it, brush it and wait 2 minutes before applying the shampoo.
Lather the shampoo in your hands first.
Do not use too much shampoo. It is harder to rinse off thoroughly, and leftover shampoo may stimulate your scalp.
Wash your hair as if you were massaging your scalp. Do not use your nails to do that as nails may irritate the skin on your scalp.
Use body temperature water. Over 80% of hair is made from protein, and protein hardens when it gets warm.
Too hot of water will decrease treatment effects.
Do not apply conditioner or treatment products on the scalp. Apply 5 cm away from your scalp.
Dry Your Hair Correctly.
Do not leave your hair in a damp environment; for example, hair wrapped in a towel for too long may cause scalp dermatitis or hair loss. A towel may pull hair out as well.
Dry your hair from the roots down. If you start from the end, your cuticles will be lifted and feel dry and crunchy.
Make sure to use the hairdryer from a distance - try to use regular or cold air, it will keep your hairstyle longer.
Switch up your hair parts. Scalp between your hair parts is exposed to UV lights, and it gets damaged.
Comb your hair once per day.
Sleep on Silk.
I sleep with my hair down but learned that it is not suitable for your hair at all :( The best thing to do is tie your hair up in a loose bun on the top of your head, so you're never sleeping directly on top of it while you're lying down.
Pure silk products are designed to strengthen and de-frizz your hair. Silk helps to balance oily roots and dry ends, so you may not have to wash your hair as often. Use a silk hair tie, pillowcase, head wrap, scrunchies, etc.
