Dressing for the Job
A constantly changing schedule at the office means dressing for my day and regularly switching up my style. Some days I am out and about at meetings while others I am at my desk tending to emails. I have worn everything from a P.E. Nation set and sneakers to a floor length dress and heels to the office. I am always on the lookout for stylish additions to my wardrobe that are perfect for both my casual days as well as my dressier ones.
If you look at my closet you will see a spread of neutral, earthy tones. Comprised of mostly nudes, olives, whites and grays, I like to choose pieces that seamlessly go with pieces I already own. These Rag and Bone Libby Crop Flare Pants are a great staple. The neutral color goes with just about anything and can be dressed up for an event or remain simple. You’ll often find me in a plain pant like these paired with a sweater and booties or sneakers. This printed Burberry sweater and Tony Bianco Ankle Boots are perfect for a casual day.
This Nike Hip Bag is great for the days I don’t need to bring much with me. I’m loving the trend of wearing belt bags across your chest - so sleek and cool!
When I need to look a little more professional I like to choose pieces that are still appropriate but true to my personal style. A monochrome outfit with a pop of color is easy to put together and always looks chic. Grlfrnd Jeans paired with a white Helmut Lang blazer stand out against this Marc Jacobs Trench Coat and black, strappy flats.
This look is great for a full day of meetings into a nighttime event. I would throw on a white blouse under the blazer during the day and then opt for just the blazer into the evening. Blazers and fitted pant suits are a trend that I hope sticks around!
