Lunching in Mykonos: A Guide to the Best Lunch Spots

When in Mykonos, lunch is more than just a meal; chances are it will be your very first meal of the day, so it’s important to get it right! We have been visiting Mykonos on an annual basis for a few years, and like with any city, the trends and hot spots change. This year, Mykonos changed a lot. The high heat impacted produce, and many of the menus looked very similar. When I think of lunch in Mykonos, I imagine incredible views, unique setups, sun-kissed daybeds first, then lunch, dancing after lunch, or going back to daybeds. Here are my recommendations for a chic lunch.

(Alemagou and Scorpios were the top 2 destinations in 2024, but they are not quite my vibe. If you enjoy Tulum, you will love it there!)

Here’s my guide to the top lunch recommendations in Mykonos, perfect for soaking up the sun, sea, and incredible cuisine.

A Few Pro tips…

Here are a few pro tips to make your lunch even better!

  • It’s best to book your lunch around 1:30-2pm

  • DJs and more energetic vibes start after 3pm.

  • Sunset in Mykonos is around 7:45pm. If you plan on taking cute sunset pics, make sure you are back at your hotel around 6pm so you have time to get ready and head out to 180º Sunset Bar (@180mykonos) around 7:15pm—this way, you won’t be rushing!

  • Here’s the tricky part: you don’t want to go to the livelier dinner restaurants before 10pm. Yes, I know, but life here dictates a different tempo and timing. You can either go back to the hotel or, after the sunset, visit the town, explore, and head out to dinner. I prefer to take my sunset pics, go back and quickly change.

  • Order the Truffle Pizza at Beefbar! This was the kids’ favorite!

  • Under their new Chef, Solymar has improved their menu and cuisine immensely. They even added a vegan portion to their menu that is terrific!

If you love it, share it!
